By Sandeep Hattangadi
The Asia Cup Cricket Tournament started with great style in Multan,Pakistan where the Pakistani Numero Uno team clashed with the lowly Nepal and the Pakistanis made short work of them with the Pakistanis scoring 342 plus in their allotted 50 overs with the help of two big hundreds by the Pakistani captain Babar Azam who scored more than 150 runs and the hard hitting Iftikhar Ahmed who also slammed a big century . In reply to the Pakistani's huge score The Nepalese batsmen could manage only a meagre 104 runs and a loss by more than 200 runs as Shaheen Shah Afridi took 2 wickets in his first over and spinner Shadab Khan took 4 wickets and Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf also chipped in with a few wickets Babar Azam was the man of the match. . It was a dismal performance by Nepal and we hope to see more of a performance from them..Now all eyes are on the Pakistan India Match in Sri Lanka which will surely be a humdinger!
