Rajinikanth Paid a Visit to Yogi Adityanath's Lucknow Residence

A day after superstar Rajinikanth was seen touching Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's feet at his home in Lucknow, Samajwadi Party boss Akhilesh Yadav today tweeted a picture of him hugging the south Indian megastar. In what is being seen as a swipe at the saffron-clad Chief Minister, he posted a "when hearts meet" message along with the picture.

"People hug when hearts meet," he wrote, adding that he feels as happy meeting the superstar now as he did when he saw him on screen while studying engineering in Mysuru.

"We met in a personal capacity nine years ago, and have been friends since," he added.

Rajinikanth Paid a Visit to Yogi Adityanath's Lucknow Residence

Renowned actor Rajinikanth had a meeting with Yogi Adityanath at the Chief Minister's residence in Lucknow on Saturday. The actor had arrived in the city on Friday night, primarily for the screening of his latest movie 'Jailer.' The film's screening was graced by the presence of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.

Praising Rajinikanth's acting prowess, Keshav Prasad Maurya lauded, "I had the opportunity to watch the film 'Jailer.' I've been a viewer of many of Rajinikanth's movies, and his exceptional acting skills shine through. Even in cases where the storyline might be relatively light, his performance manages to elevate it."

The recently released film 'Jailer,' which hit theaters on August 10, has achieved resounding success at the box office. Its total collection in India over an eight-day span reached an impressive sum of Rs 235.65 crore by August 17. The movie was released in various languages, encompassing Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions.
