Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra Among Most Searched People in 2023

Google has released its Year in Search lists for 2023 globally and in India, revealing that actors Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra were the only two actors to make the list of most searched people. The couple, known for their roles in the film "Shershaah," got married in February 2023 after quietly dating for a couple of years.

The list includes Kiara Advani at the top, followed by cricketers Shubman Gill, Rachin Ravindra, Mohammed Shami, YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, actor Sidharth Malhotra, Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell, soccer player David Beckham, cricketer Suryakumar Yadav, and Australian cricketer Travis Head.

During an episode of "Koffee With Karan 8," Kiara Advani shared the story of Sidharth Malhotra's proposal. She revealed, "When Sid came to that episode (previous season of Koffee With Karan), we had just returned from Rome where he proposed to me. My parents weren't there. It was our first family holiday with me and his family.

I had a feeling that he would propose. I told him, 'You have to speak to my parents,' and he said, 'Are you kidding me?' I said, 'Yeah, you should ask them and take their permission, let's do it the right way. They will be happy.' Unfortunately, my mom had COVID-19, so she couldn't travel with us. So I went with his parents."

She added, "It did come as a surprise because I didn't know when he would propose on this trip. In my head, I was like, 'I hope he does propose,' and he did it. It was the first destination we visited on that trip. He took us to this Michelin-star restaurant, and his nephew was with us to capture the moment. After dinner, he took me for a walk, and suddenly a violinist came out of the bushes playing, and his nephew sweetly recorded the video from the bushes.

Sid went down on one knee and proposed. I was overwhelmed. Then he started saying lines from 'Shershaah.' He said, 'I'm a simple boy from Delhi,' with the full dialogues of 'Shershaah,' and I burst out laughing."

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra got married in Rajasthan in February 2023.
