Congress Announces New Members for Key Decision-Making Body on Rajiv Gandhi's Anniversary
On former Prime Minister and Congress icon Rajiv Gandhi's anniversary, the grand old party today announced names of members of its top decision-making body.

On the anniversary of former Prime Minister and prominent Congress figure Rajiv Gandhi, the venerable political party has revealed the lineup of individuals constituting its paramount decision-making body. This development includes the inclusion of Sachin Pilot, the disenchanted leader from Rajasthan, in the Congress Working Committee, a significant move as the state gears up for upcoming assembly elections later this year.
In a noteworthy expansion, Sachin Pilot, Shashi Tharoor, Deepa Das Munshi, and Syed Nasser Hussain have been welcomed as fresh additions to the Congress Working Committee.
Insiders suggest that Mr. Pilot is being considered for a leadership role in a substantial state.
Shashi Tharoor, who contested against Mallikarjun Kharge in last year's Congress President election, has also secured a place within the committee.
Among the total of 39 members, only three are below the age of 50: Sachin Pilot, Gourav Gogoi, and Kamaleshwar Patel.
According to sources, Priyanka Gandhi, who previously held the responsibility for Uttar Pradesh, is unlikely to be entrusted with a similar role for any other state.
