    MOHAMMED SHAMIS FIVE WICKET HAUL HELPS INDIA BEAT AUSSIES IN FIRST ODI AT MOHALI!

A terrific spell of pacy swing bowling by Mohammed Shami and his five wicket haul helped India beat the visiting Aussies who were resticted to only 277 with some good scores by David Warner who scored a strokeful fifty, Steve Smith who helped Australia  hold up the batting after skipper Mitch Marsh left early and some good contributions by Marcus Labuschagne, Inglis, and Stoinus. Pat Cummins hit some lustful big shots at the end of the innings. Labuschagne on 39 was unlucky to get stumped. Shami was aided by some tight bowling by R Ashwin, Shardul Thakur and the comeback man Jaspreet Bumrah. The Indians got to a good start by some good hitting by Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubhman Gill who is in the form of his life. Skipper KL Rahul, the stand in captain socored a good fifty along with a delightful fifty by the SKY Suryakumar Yadav. From The Aussies only the young  spinner Adam Zampa could m,ake some inroads into the Indian batting. This Mohali win will go in the record books as India doesn't have a good record at this ground having only 1 win previously against 4 by the Aussies. The Indians rested skipper Rohit Sharma, spinner Kuldeep Yadav,  champion batsman Virat Kohli and the hard hitting all rounder Hardik Pandya but ultimately they won by five wickets. The only areas the Indians were lacking was their fieliding and catching.  Mohammed Shami was declared the Man of the Match. The second ODI is at Indore on Sunday.  India go up 1- 0 in the 3 match series.The Aussies will be helped by the return of star all rounder Glenn Maxwell.
