Part Of Iconic Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple Collapses in Dehradun, Uttarakhand Due to Heavy Rainfall
A part of the famous Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple in Uttarakhand's Dehradun has collapsed following incessant rain.

Dehradun, Uttarakhand - Amid relentless rainfall, a segment of the renowned Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, has crumbled, raising concerns among devotees and locals.
Devotees who gathered at the temple on the auspicious Monday of Sawan, a month in the Hindu calendar dedicated to Lord Shiva, encountered difficulties due to obstructed access caused by fallen trees near the temple's entrance.
Earlier this week, on Wednesday, Jakhan village, situated within the Madrasu gram panchayat along Langha Road, near Dehradun, faced significant challenges. The village experienced 15 residential houses collapsing and seven cowsheds being completely demolished due to landslides and subsidence. The village, home to approximately 15 families totaling 50 individuals, fortunately reported no casualties.
In a separate incident last week, heavy rains wreaked havoc in Dehradun's Kaluwala area. Rainwater inundated homes and led to waterlogged streets, causing disruption to daily life.
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) received notifications from the Disaster Control Room about extensive waterlogging and house infiltration in the Kaluwala region, leading to disturbances in the local routine.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami undertook an aerial survey of flood-affected regions within the state, including an evaluation of rising water levels in the Ganga river near Rishikesh.
Uttarakhand has experienced intense monsoon rains, resulting in landslides and flash floods in various locations across the region.
