G20 Commits to Accelerate Sustainable Growth, Address Climate Change, and Promote Inclusion
The G20, a coalition of major economies, has outlined its commitment to accelerate the pursuit of "strong, sustainable, balanced, and inclusive growth" and to advance the implementation of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development, according to a statement released by the group.

In a resolution adopted during their recent meeting, the G20 members pledged to leave no one behind and praised the efforts of the Indian Presidency in hastening the realization of the 2030 agenda.

Furthermore, the G20 reaffirmed its dedication to a rules-based, non-discriminatory, fair, open, inclusive, equitable, sustainable, and transparent multilateral trading system. The resolution emphasized the group's support for policies that harness trade and investment as catalysts for overall growth and prosperity.

The G20 also committed to collaborating with the private sector to foster inclusive, sustainable, and resilient global value chains. They expressed their intent to assist developing nations in ascending the value chain and pledged to tackle debt vulnerabilities, all in alignment with their "no one left behind" policy.

Addressing environmental concerns, the G20 resolved to expedite actions addressing various crises, including climate change. The resolution recognized the global impact of climate change, particularly on the most disadvantaged populations.

To facilitate access to affordable financing for clean and sustainable energy technologies, the G20 vowed to assist developing nations. Additionally, they established a climate finance mechanism to assist developed countries in meeting the $100 billion target beyond 2025.

Regarding the conflict in Ukraine, the G20 participants restated their adherence to national positions and the principles of the UN Charter. While Russia was not explicitly named, the group condemned the "use of force for territorial gain."

In a bid to enhance global food security and nutrition, the G20 committed to following the Deccan High-Level Principles on Food Security and Nutrition. The statement encouraged collaborative research efforts to bolster climate-resilient and nutritious grains such as millets, quinoa, sorghum, alongside traditional staples like rice, wheat, and maize.

The G20 nations also pledged to uphold their commitment to bolstering the global health architecture for pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response, with a particular focus on closer collaboration between Finance and Health Ministries.

Lastly, the G20 expressed its dedication to promoting equal and effective participation of women, especially in economic decision-making roles.
