 THE MUCH AWAITED INDIA PAKISTAN FACE OFF WASHED OUT!

The Asia cup's much awaited tie between arch rivals India and Pakistan had a wet end at Pallekele as the match was called off due to rains after the completion of India's  first innings. India batting first lost two quick wickets caused by the fast and swing bowling of speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi. Rohit Sharma had his stumps castled by a fast incoming delivery and Virat Kohli played on to his stumps without  troubling the scorers much.Shreyas Iyer came next and played confidently by hitting a few fours but later pulled one to midwicket catch, India was in dire straits but Ishan Kishen  who scored his fourth fifty in succession and Hardik Pandya  who played an evolved innings stitched up a huge partnership and both scored much in eighties after they got out leading India to a respectable total of 266. The rest of the Indian innings folded up without any fight except for pacer Jasprit Bumrah who scored some big shots.  The Pakistani speedsters Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf really bowled well to restrain India which was bowled out in the 48 over.,But the Pakistani innings couldn't start due to a wet field and both the teams shared a point each, Pakistan have made it to  the next round whereas India has to beat Nepal in their next match.Lets hope the rains stay off and we have a full match on Monday!
